I wasted 50 bucks on a damn skyline x-mod. only played with it twice. I thought it was gonna be the shittz nittz, but i was wrong. i should of gotten an R/C copter instead.
Mods: Do-Luck Body Kit, Random 17"'s, 93 Interior,SR coming soon!
stock xmods are wicked boring. You have to spend at least 200-300$ before they get fun and by that time you think wow i just spent that much money on a radio shack car when i coulda gotten a real RC car.

i made the same mistake, it was fun for like... 3 battery charges, then i was like, wtf did i just do?

You can get mini-z's for 100. I think you can even put together a whole new chassis for around that.

so fuckin blow those words out the back of your head, ive heard it all and im done with that shit
yea right i would never pay 150 for a mini r/c like that
mini z's are amongst the best rc's on the market.
they only fall short of the needs of posers who just want to show off their toy that probably goes "300 mph, 0-60 in 1 second and can even fly because its so aerodynamic"

the HPI is cool, but its a 1/18th to the Z's 1/24 scale. I like it, but prefer the Z...it just simply a better package. personal preference and needs are a big part of it too....so its a close call for most people.
the thing is that the mini z comes in so many flavours (monster, suv style, f1, touring etc). and for the record depending on where u shop ive seen mini z's as low as $80.

My only gripe for the mini-z is the setup and the steering gears (mine always broke and to upgrade just the steering to metal is 30 dollars. Talk about a rip off.
The rest im sure is fun, but the mini-z is very toy like to me. Plastic , hard wired and doesnt look like a car suspension at all really.
The micros ive seen and they look very nice , slightly larger , haul major ass and are more of an RC kit than a toy.
Dont get me wrong though im sure a fully hooked up mini-z is fun but...im not sure how much that would cost to get there. As well a micro is probably better for less.

The RS4 mini's are very nice setups, they have about everything the big brother RS4's have only in a smaller package. The nitro ones are insane, well hell the electric ones are insane too, but I'm happy I got my 1/10th scale nitro 4-Tec. If I had the money I'd consider getting a mini but college makes me broke, hehe.
