Oversteer is when you hit the wall with the back of the car. Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car. Horsepower is how fast you're going when you hit the wall, and torque is how far you drag the wall with you.

Sorry kid, there are no B16 torgue secrets. Like Ezeedee said "turbo is the only torque a b16 will see", even if you bore it to a 1.8

higher (numerically) final drive will let the ground see a little more torque, but reduce speed in all gears and raise cruising rpm's.

higher compression, cams, a good header (read: an-r, HyTech (good enough for endyn, good enough for you), smsp)

a b16 is not the engine you want if you like torque.

Only way to get torque out of a b16 is either turn it swap it for a b18 or b20, or slap a turbo on it. The b16 is more of a high rev all top end motor.

Maybe we should send this to mythbuster " Is a b16 really torqueless?"
