wont work. you have a short deck height block, a long stroke crank and standard compression height pistons. the rod will be real short and that will give you tramendous side loading because of the very bad rod/stroke ratio you will have. it will not last to long. just to put it in perspective, the crank has a 10mm longer stroke thena b16 so you are going to need a rod that is 5mm shorter than the b16 rod. if the stock gsr has a r/s of 1.6:1 then think how bad it will be if you reduce it another .200". it will be a custom rod for sure so your looking at $600-$700 and 10 weeks from crower.

You would need custom rods and pistons. Peak Performance makes a "stroker" kit for the B16A. It's got a 89 mm stroke...hmm...LS...custom rods, and custom pistons (most likely with the connecting rod pin moved up). However, it's not recommend that you do this, or with the GSR crank, if you like to have your engine cable of high revs with durability. Turns the rod-stroke ratio into a shitty one.

thanx for the replies

i ve thought about the rod stroke issue, and i was planning to add a block girdle and gsr oil pan main bolts and windage tray to install it..

also i was planning to top at 8400-8500 rpm

in conclusion to make this work i ll be also needing stroker pistons..
at least i ll be following the .. original stroker kit engine geometry that croer or toda etch sell..
the crank stroke is 89 right?

i d prefer a b18 ls or gsr block, but b18 never made it to greece, and blocks via usps ems is an expensive thing to order via usa.

They had 1.8 liter blocks in Europe though...B18C4...also...the Civic Type R which could be found in Europe, offered a 1.6 liter engine which was a DESTROKED B18C engine. Basically they took a Type R engine, used a crank that offered a 1.6 liter stroke, with longer rods.

WhiteHotEhHatch is on a distinguished road
Stick with the stock stroke, stick in the p30's, some lumpy cams, a good valvetrain, launch at 6k and dont look back. Just my .02
