Mods: Rebuilt B18A1 with replacement oem rods, pistons, rings, a port and polished head, replacement valves, valve angling, dual valve springs, STR cams, Edlebrock intake manifold, custom cold air intake, Chikara header, custom-welded 3" exhaust; limited-slip differential, double plate clutch, short-throw shifter.

I'm laying down around 185whp right now without a tune, before with a tune I was laying down damn near 200 give or take a few with a b18a. I rebuilt the entire lower block with stock internals (they have been proven to hold up 300whp and I'm not going to be anywhere close or over that). I then replaced the valves, added dual valve springs, str aggressive cams, an aggressive port and polish, edlebrock intake manifold, cai, header, and 3" deleted cat exhaust. I also put in some tranny work to get the full power to the wheels, but thats not the question at hand. I think after everything (pulling the engine at a junk yard, the rebuild and performance parts) I laid down somewhere close to 3500, but I think it was well worth it.

I agree 100%
Trying to cram more than 250-300whp through a FWD car is a dumbass idea no matter how you do it.
Honda's to me are useless with "big Power" and it kinda takes away from what the car is good at. Corners at high speeds.

A good combo of parts and tuning is all you need.. reguardless if you like or dislike n/a or turbo.
You dont need 438447 whp to be fast.. and certain dont need no 800 dollar set of cams.
180whp isn't hard and can be achieved by the slightiest of things. Tuning alone can give a TON of power IF you know what your doing.
WVU is just mad, because my stock block all motor honda > His 18psi turbo 240sx.
I USED to roll race.. I run from a dig, stock lsd on 225wide street tires.. i dont run slicks i find its unfair for my opponets..People ask if they can run from a roll, if.

haha yeah cause 18 psi is possible on a t25g  so you would be right about the comment because if i was running 18 psi on that turbo i would actually lose power  in all honesty you can run whatever power you bro you're still fwd at the end of the day and you may have a stock but you have 4x's the money invested in yours in comparison to mine and make about 5-10 more whp later and nowhere near the torque. but i still love you.
p.s. i raced a cobalt ss 2 days ago and they are officially as slow as half-frozen dog piss
