You can't put CTR pistons in a B20 block. The block is 84mm, CTR slugs are 81mm. Hit up Ebay, I've seen cast high compression pistons for B20 on there for around $200 with rings. They will give you 11.5-11.8 c/r which is plenty enough to make power with a good set of cams, and is tunable on pump gas. In fact with 96 octane available you should really be able to get great power for a street tune since you won't really have to cut any timing.

take it to a shop you trust, dont do it yourself, It will be way easier to rebuild the block rather than blow the bottom end out, If anything at all replace the sleeves, it will not last long if you dont, especially with that head and or high compression pistons. don't know if they said it already but you cannot bore the b20 much higher at all, look up the way it was designed, (thin cylinder walls.) g/l man

The shop does have a good point...if I were you I'd keep my motor NA or do what the shop said. You could get a little more power with another header and a few other things... How much more power do you want?

Without an approx number goal it's really hard to tell you what to do (we don't really understand what "a lot" means to you).
The ITR header is ok but at your stage there will be nice benefits from a really nice header like a SMSP, rage, hytech. I'd at least look at getting a HyTech Replica from kteller or something.
I'm not too sure if other cams will be a worth while investment over what you already have but look into skunk 2 pro series cams or buddy club 4 cams...and see if they fit what you want.
All this is pointless really if in the end you really want a turbo.

Ok...staying NA with this motor isn't going to be ideal for that power level.
Depending on the fuel available in your area I don't see why you wouldn't be able to hit that level with most turbo kits, some bigger injectors and solid tuning. Full-race kits come to mind but you can pretty much use any quality kit like it.
Your current pistons and (I assume) stock sleeves are what I'd worry about when you...decide your going to want even more power...and your probably will. IE. You could replace the pistons with low compression pistons for serious power but then you would have to probably get it bore and hone again, at which point I'd imagine the already thin sleeves being thinner (and more prone to damage). At which point I'd seriously think about getting another block..so you don't mess up what what you already have (which sounds pretty good already).
Keep in mind 300whp is possible on a stock block b16...hence why the shop says sell what you got and start over.
Cole's notes..it's possible..but possibly not the more effective/efficient method.
