B20/Vtec on a CRV!

Hello all, I recently posted a thread on installing a JR Supercharger on my B20 CRV. But come to find out it was for a GSR Vtec so I had to sell it. Now with that money I'm doing a B20/Vtec application (already purchased a 96 GSR head) and wanted to know if I'll need a P75 ECU or can I run an Apexi VAFC since my CRV is automatic? Also will I have any worries with emissions? THANKS!!

you do realize the CRV is RealTime AWD..right?
a b20vtec in this suv would be awesome, and outright unique.. nobody's done it in the history for honda.. be the first, probably would get u in superstreet or something..

Believe it or not, it actually has been done before on a 1st Gen CRV like mine. And actually was in Superstreet. This was about 5 or so years ago with a
B20/Vtec setup + Turbo. (Yes that was automatic as well!) An auto shop in Cali by the name of Autolink. At the time I was hookin up my first CRV, I got a chance to talk to the car owner for some pointers.

The Supercharger would have been really cool, but wouldn't work for my app - But the reason for doing all this is because I really love the 1st Gen CRV. Hookin it up like this is not something you see everyday and isn't easy. Its actually rare. I love Honda's but I don't want to be just another Civic or Teggy. Nothing really new there that hasn't been done or seen often. I'd love to get seen on some mags, but really I'm doing it just to be different.

I'm waiting on the GSR head to be shipped out to me. Its coming of a LS/Vtec already so I'm already half way there. Once I get it installed I'll post some pics. But any pointers you guys can give me (skip the haterz) would be appreciated. Thanks!

Nope there is none for the auto OBD2A. Therefore mine will be tuned with a piggyback system from Apexi (VAFC 2). I had to sell my SAFC 2 so now I bought have the Vtec one. The head I purchased came off an LS/Vtec so I'm really just bolting up with an easy swap.

Eventually I'll have to get a stronger tranny and newer pistons though. Its a work in progress for an application that is seldom done. Its going to be interesting!

Really? Never heard of any cross plants with B series and D or H series motors. I'll have to ask about that unless you've got some links to where I can view that. I'm assuming any of those would be better than my ECU.
