Crank Pulley Came Off!!

I just did a motor swap, i was driving my car around the corner kinda hard and the pulley came off. The battery light came on and i drove it home 1 mile. Does driving without the crank pulley fuck the motor?

im goin to auto wreckers to buy the key for it, i got a spare crank pulley (the other had the teeth/gear grinded out of it), i was just wondering if it would have done any damage. I know its only connected to the alternator (no ps/ac), but ive heard people say its fucks with your bearings. I know honda motors are internally balanced, i was just trying to make sure nothing got messed up

in all honesty its hard to say without actually taking a look. You may experience premature oil pump failure, and its possible that a shock such as this directly on the shaft could damage things, but it really depends. If it just sheared its way off and spun off than it may not have done that much damage. Honestly this is the first complaint where one just came off, im kind of at a loss. Did the bolt give out or was it not tightened or something?

it was my stupidity, i just finished the swap and did not realize that i forgot to tighten it, its a brand new gsr oil pump too, i was using a ctr n1 pulley, having doubts of all the hearsay about premature bearing wear, so im just gonna put the stocker back on, i just need to find a crank pulley key

the pulley can damage the bearings, but I wouldn't think there would be an issue if you didn't drive the car hard.

oh ok so it just wasnt tight and came off. I dont think youve got to much to worry about then. How badly damaged is the N1 pulley? besides you didnt drive it to far, probably drained your battery way down that shouldnt be to major.

WhiteHotEhHatch is on a distinguished road
CTR N1 pully's wont damage your bearings any faster than cold hard starts or improper bearing sizing will.
