I have a B16 in my crx but im going to buy an ls bottom end and build that up lsvtec. My question is that i can get a ls block for almost nothing but it has a cracked cylinder wall, can i sleave the block with a cracked cylinder wall or will sleaving it not fix it, i will be replacing pistons, rods, etc. and might knife edge the crank, and help would be great and I dont know if this is the right section but since im an all motor lover and my rex is all motor i though this would be right
Also what brandrs does everyone reccomend for sleaves and what shop to do it, I only have two local shops and don't trust their work.
when they sleeve a block, they do not completely remove the sleeves, they cut them at the base and machine them to allow them to press new sleeves into the base of the original sleeves. So if the sleeves are cracked too badly, then you may have problems.
