On the project car that my brother and I are working on we have:
D16Y8 (SOHC VTEC) head
Zex valvesprings
JG aluminum retainers
Ferrea 1mm oversized SS valves on both the intake and exhaust side
Port work done by the late Mark D'Anna of Bottle Blown Racing
Stock D16Y7 block
D16Y8 Tranny (4.25 FD)
Centerforce Dual Friction clutch
Skunk2 Intake manifold
B-series throttle body
2 3/4" AEM short ram intake
DC sports 4-1 header
Compression ratio is 10.0:1 (thinner head gasket)
Running a stock cam though because I am leary about the over sized valves.
Is it breath-takingly fast? No. I had the parts left over from another project and it ended up producing a fun car.
