I am NOT going to do a swap.. I don't want to.
I don't see turbo coming for at least 2 years.
I can do engine work now. If I can get 40hp out of it, I'll be happy.
Keep in mind, I am not going to be tuning the engine sitting in my car now, I will have one in a shop tinkering on it while I complete all other aspects of this build. Whell Tire / Suspension First!
Like I care, but if I go through with this..
Will I be the laughing stock on the forums?

why wouldn't you advise unorthodox racing crank pulley?
this is probably going to take 1-2 years to do huh?

Wheels tires suspension - Im on it.
Bolt on's - Not a problem - just a matter of planning and budgeting
Building another D17 to my liking to replace current motor..I got help but it'll be here and there...this will take a year or so tinkering wouldn't you think? besides, seeing how new this platform is... alot of products may come out by the time i need to buy my extra's for the engine build.
It's kinda hard for people to understand just having a solid plan doesn't mean it's going to be like a MTV pimp my ride build.. hah...

as youre learning, it's a good idea to go step by step and not put in everything at once so you can learn what part does what.
The crank pulley gives problems b/c of harmonic dampener.... but it's still not 100% certain. Not many ppl get it for the 7thgen as far as I am aware of. Some folks do have it on and have no problems.
wow thats alot. what are you hoping for as for as whp. what do you want to run in a 1/4 mile. all that money you are going to spend you should do a swap. but if your doing it to see what the d17 could do since you dont see to many good luck w/ the project. sounds fun and expensive.
IMO pay to have it tuned with something better than a vafc. Also don't cheap out on the header, at least get something better than DC sports. Other than that, good luck.

Well most know me as the fastest singles on the street when i was SUPER STOCK i was running 15.5 at etown wit just a drivers seat and all the panels MOTOR D16Z6 and a JAPENESE TRANNY........Now that i done a few mods like flywheels clutch head intake things of that nature mos say my car runs harder i cant really tell u know but Etown july 3rd will see how i came along......MOST KNOW ME AS 15secsohcvtec on b20vtec and Arony even on the streets so good luck wit ya project bro........I believe im in the 14s NOW

since when does crower make a cam for the d17a2...please show me a link of that, i belive your mistaken...if not ill apologize, this is just the first ive heard of that and i have definetly never seen it
