I have been doing some research and there is a company out there called PIT, I forgot what it meant, but I really like their cat exhaust and headers, plus they have also been dyno proven, you guys should research that.
Crower Valve Spring + Retiner Set 84166
Crower Cam Cam Stage: Crower Cam Stage II NA
Greddy E-Manage
Greddy Evo 2 Full Catback Exhaust (EM2)
HP Stainless Steel Race Header for 01-03 Civic EM2 Color: Stainless Steel
Revo SS 5SP Civic EM2
I am going to go ahead and put this shit on my credit card when it comes in..lol
If they do CC's that is.
I can prettymuch install everything but the Cams and Valvetrain Kit myself.
Wish Me luck.
I'm going to do it

I havent been able to get crower to answer anything about the D17's... So if you know something I dont. Gimme part numbers. I have a spare D17A2 head and block that Im gonna be building. Crower just wont answer about anything and Im waiting to hear back from Scat.
Yeh, I am an idiot. But I want to see just what an all engine D17A2 can do before I boost it (if I even boost)
Someone Tell me what I can expect from all this....
Ported / Polished Junkyard D17A2 head if I can find one
*Intake MAnifold D16 Venom (or bored out D17A2 Intake / Throttle Body)
Je Pistons (decent brand? I don't know much about them)
Crower Stage2 Camshaft
Crower All Motor Rods
Crower Valvtrain Kit
(I need some retainers and springs?)
(I need some bigger injectors)
AEM Cold Air Intake
AEM High Volume Fuel Rail
AEM Tru Power Pulley's
AEM Tru Time Cam Sprocket
Wheels - Enkei RS6 Silver 16x7 4x100
Tire - Nitto NT NeoGen VT 205/40R-16
Also need some good Struts, Camber , Arm Bar yada yada yada
I don't care if I am wasting money or not here.
I am NOT going to do a swap.. I don't want to.
I don't see turbo coming for at least 2 years.
I can do engine work now. If I can get 40hp out of it, I'll be happy.
Keep in mind, I am not going to be tuning the engine sitting in my car now, I will have one in a shop tinkering on it while I complete all other aspects of this build. Whell Tire / Suspension First!
Like I care, but if I go through with this..
Will I be the laughing stock on the forums?
Please advise.
RPC
would sleeving the block along with this build be a good idea too.?? i would think so . instead of just doing the port n polish head..

If you're going to do the all motor get the ultra light rods and pistons. Stage 3 cams and TI retainers and springs. I dont know how well the ignition will hold up but you could see if you can run it out to like 11000 rpm... would be awesome to see. I might be able to help you out with some D17A2 parts. Got a spare here and was planning to build it up... now with the current living arrangements Im looking at buying a house, might have to get rid of the car...

Nice...
I just receive my intake.
So now my build has started
11,000 RPM jesus christ. i bet it would sound expremely intimidating.
What do you think that would get, like 150 whp?
wjhat dso you mewan how well the ignition would hold up? I'd have to upgrade that for sure wouldnt i?
So you have some parts for D17A2 ?
I am sure I will be needing a new head soon.
It's best to get that and get it out of the way first so you can build as you buy huh?
THanks for the info
`Parr

I dont know if the stock ignition would handle that many RPMs... but from what Im told its pretty good anyway. I want a nicer one no matter what I do.. Just cuz Im like that. However now it would appear Im going to school in Hawai'i so I need to save money and stop "wasting" it on my car. So I would say I have a D17A2 block complete with sensors ( for now ) water and oil pumps, Oil pan... basically untouched all I did was pull the head. Plus I have an exhaust manifold with extra O2 bungs welded into it. intake with TB and sensors... Basically I just pulled the head and Im gonna do the Vtec head swap, cuz I already have the computer and VAFC. So all I need is that parts to do that with.
What I am assuming is you have a D17A2 (5 speed) 1.7ltr VTec
that is pretty much the same as what's in my car now.
I am wanting another i can put on a stand and place cams, pistons, rods, retainers, valves, and springs in over the next year and just pull my current one out, store it and install the one I have built up.
I don'tknow how much the thing goes for new, or from a junkyard, or online or anything.
I doubt they are really high b/c it's such a mass produced product.
Hit me back.
