Where would you guys think the best place is to purchase a DART h22 block? This is in the turbo forum cause it will be boosted but maybe you guys will have a quicker answer as to where i can get this built block. thanks.

Did dart make an H series replica or are you looking for a block with just their sleeving? I havent seen anything about them releasing an H series but I have been out of the loop experimenting for awhile on stock parts.

they do make the iron sleeves for the h22 blocks. JE is an authorized dealer and they said that when you buy their pistons that u HAVE to buy the DARTON sleeve kit cause of the h22 walls sucking ass.

no you dont. Plenty of people run JE and assorted other pistons with golden eagle, benson, exospeed, IB spec sleeves.

ok I now I understand I thought you were looking for a whole block, like how they make their own B series block sleeves are another story. You dont necessarily have to run Dart sleeves. 98vtec was on point, while ive never had a problem with any dart parts in the past golden eagle and benson both are very good options as well!

ok i know. uhh how do i explain this. like on their site (JE's) when it gives the part # they say that when u get the pistons to get the sleeves cause thats who their company deals with. I know i don't have to buy it i can go with a diff. name that makes aftermarket sleeves, but what im trying to throw across that when i buy the pistons that the H22 block has to get sleeved... they have the Reinforced fiber walls like the S2000 am i correct blake? So the point i was just trying to make was that i need aftermarket sleeves cause their walls are weaker than the B's and besides we need something thats going to handle 28-30 lbs of boost so sleeves are a must. I do thank you though for throwin out the other CO. names i forgot about some of them.

yes, the h22, s2000 and NSX has FRM sleeves (fiber reinforced metal). You must sleeve the block in order to run a forged piston. If you run a piston like JE in a stock block of any of the cars i listed, they will scrape the sides of the walls and pretty much ruin the block.
Mahle has come out with a piston to be ran on the FRM sleeves. BUT, there isnt enough evidence that they actually do what they say they will do. The only piston that CAN run the FRM sleeve is the JUN piston. However, by the time you pay for that piston, you could damn near have the block sleeved with the iron ductile ones. In the h22, i wouldnt say its the sleeves that are weak. The weakest part in the h22 is the ringlands on the pistons. They have a tendecy to give way when too much "power" is put through them.
Sorry...i want the Iron sleeve kit for the H22. Basically me and my friend want to build it that it will be able to handle 650+ whp after tune. I want to use a Garrett Ball bearing i belive the GT35R is dual ball bearing which will most likely what will be used to help achieve the desired power. Not much will be done to the head except valvetrain and more polishing of the exhaust side of the head. This is all just a planning stage. I wanna know what were going to do if we go with a honda car for a build. The only other route were currently looking at is a Suburu STI build for around the same amount of power...with a AWD advantage.
