That looks cool with the clear window in the valve cover. First time I saw a coil on plug setup was on the Ford OHC V8 a few years ago. Dude pulled the coil cover off when he was getting dyno'ed to connect the pickup. Becoming more and more common now.
Gives a nice clean look to an engine bay not having a coil packs or distributor and plug wires.
Better spark would be a given, no plug wire, no voltage drop.
