exhaust wrap on the intake ram?

anyone have input about this? seems like a good idea to me for a SRI

does exhaust wrap deflect heat as well? I understand there is no cooling off the air that enters the intake but it cant be that bad compared to the 'chrome' intake ram I have now, that thing gets so damn hot after driving.

i googled "header wrap on intake," and got varying results.. most agree it will trap moisture so don't do it to bare metal.
