Question h22 all motor?

Ok so a h22 feel into my hands not to long ago for free so dont get me wrong why go and spend money on a b series when a h drops into my lap. But only bad thing is it has a cracked sleeve. i thought about sleeving it and boring it to a 2.4..But im not really up to speed with how the h does all motor? ive heard it doesnt hold mods as well as b series but im going on what ive heard...so any all motor h22 give me your input would be nice..hp? whp? just post anything would be nice

My buddy has had about every single h motor setup possible...
Turbo,SC,gassed all mota, and personally when he bored / sleeved it to a 2.4 and went all motor with a small shot of the gas..the car ripped..
It was a simple build with GE Sleeves, stroked and bored to a 2.4, some mid CR pistons and rods with a 75 shot, head was stock, with upgraded valves and valvetrain(springs/retainers) ran Type-S cams, thats about it..car went like 12.7's in a full interior EG civic, trap was high mph, dont remember what excatly but it was very very fast..besides..going all motor is much simpler then goin boost on a h, if not tuned correctly or you get boost happy, the H wont like it..

yea i knew the h didnt like boost being stock. if it was built to hold it than any motor can handle boost. i was thinking of darton sleeves, boring it to a 2.4. have around 12.1 CR maybe somewhere in there and havent decided on the head yet looking for 220+whp

exospeedracing is an unknown quantity at this point
the H22 is a great engine to build all motor or turbo. Its not as common to do the H obviously compared to the B-series due to the availability of parts for the H series. but there are parts out there.

We've build mild to Full race All motor setups for the h22 and there are plenty of combinations to go with.

Common bore size we do for MOST setups are 89mm all motor. you can go bigger 90mm or so, but for reliability, we recommend sticking with 89mm unless you plan on having back up motors for a full race setup anyways.

As far as piston choice, there isnt much, we usually do a custom Arias piston for these All Motor setups. For street, we've done 12-12.5:1 compression and for full race, we have done 14-15:1 compression pistons.

the H22 is a great platform, just not as much info on it as the B-series does and thats why people are hesitant to go H series.

do you wanna go road racing or do boring drag runs?

if you want to get into the playground where real men play, then the h22 will offset the handling characteristics of the civic by a LOT at the limits. the suspension setup can only dial out so much understeer. the sheer size and weight of an h22 in a civic/integra body and placement of the motor is too much of a con especially if you can build a b-series to be equally matched.
