300hp is realistic... this motor was a stock sleeve H23 (edited last post... not an H22) stuffed w/ rods, pistons, King Competition Ported Head, King Custom Header, Skunk2 IM, OS Throttle Body, Skunk2 Pro3's, and associated Valve Train.
Peak power was at 8400rpm

So?
I never said it was my personal motor... I work at King Motorsports, we build a lot of motors.
My K24/20 (stock bore/ stroke) makes 285hp and 203ft lb @ 12.5:1 on 91 octane running Skunk2 Stg. 3 cams, RBC IM, Stock Type S T/Body, Skunk2 Prototype Race Header, 70mm exhaust.

A little more then what it would for the average customer... we had to build the motor, remove a motor from a rented (friend of the company) car, install the built motor, tune the motor, remove the motor, and re-install the rented cars motor, and ship the motor to South America.
After everything was said and done the bill came to a little more then 15g's. Typical all motor B and H builds come to 10-12g's

I should add... we build motors for a lot less, it just comes down to what you want (parts and power).
We do:
Down and Dirty Re-Builds (Low Budget)
Basic Re-Builds (Limited Budget)
Performance Re-Builds (Mild Budget)
High Performance Re-Builds (Big Budget)
Race Re-Builds (No Budget)

well the debate was about how to get 300whp n/a with an h-series on pump gas and what it would take in comparison to a k-series. you guys should build my sr20 motor up for 45 dollars

i'll get pissy if i want, but i wasn't with you. i didn't call you anywhere. i was confused because all you did was list specs, not specify that it was a customer car.
my daily driver is a ford. i have 2 hondas.
