I have a 2001 prelude base with an h22 in it. My current mods are AEM short Ram, DC sports header, Apexi N1 exhaust. My question is what can i do to get it to low 14s while staying N/A. What would be the best setup?

It depends what you want to do, there are tons of options.
I'm sure if you got a better header, 15's, drag radials, some weight reduction, and of course good driving you could pull out low 14's. Maybe even get a jdm h22 and work on that.
Good luck.

i think ur gona need a lot more than just the basic i/h/e to get low 14's...cams, mild head work and tuning will prbly get u there...but what do i know..i love paintaball guns..

what kind of header would u recomend? I always thought a dc sport header was a good header.
megan racing is better, but there are still better ones than that. dc=cheapest brand name. 4-1=best for top end power. its hard to make a lot of NA engine power without spending an assload of money. dont forget that there are other areas you can imporove to lower ET. weight reductions/gutting the car, improve r/t, better tires, etc.

But I'm still thinking that with a custom header, I/E, carbon fiber hood and trunk, all the shit out of your trunk gone, light weight 15's, drag radials and good driving you could pull low 14's.
Didn't lookat me run a 14.6 with his base lude (I/H/E and 15's.)?
And nicolo... go paintball...

Well, gettin a FWD car into the 14's is hard. You need more then just power to get into the 14's. ANyways, takin weight off your car is always a good way to imporve trap times. I think it goes for ever 100 pounds removed = .1 sec of your ET.
ALso, removing the a/c, or just taking off the belt would ad in HP just a little, same with the power steering pump, even though the PS pump is kinda dangrous to do, but, since you plan on going just straight, it might be an idea.
Like others have mention, motor wise, you'll need a little head work. Nothing much, seeing that the H22 is quite a motor to begin with. Mild port and polish. Slightly larger throttle body, fuel injectors. Mild cam (nothing to agressive to bring drivablity down). LIghten pulleys (or underdrive pulleys).
Those are just some mild things you can do. Don't forgot suspinsion set up, and rim weight as well. Well, good luck on your quest for 14 secs.

thanks for the help guys, im new to the honda world and considering i used to own a mustang gt and only ran a 14.5 with it and i just wanna be able to say my honda was faster then my v8 so i didnt know what to do after h/i/e
I blew up the engine, i was planning on fixing it but didnt feel like dealing with that car anymore with gas and insurance so i got a prelude. i havent decided what im gonna do with the stang yet. i might wait and save some money and drop a nasty engine in it or sell it. someone wants to buy it but i havent decided yet so right now i still own it. dunno what to do yet
honestly it all depends on how much time and money you want to put into the car. Intake wise you have a few options. AEM CAI is always okie.... ITBs or custom intake mani is an option too.
for a header youll want something like a jdm or mugen to start or SMSP or Hytech are the higher end headers.
bottom end work is a good idea depending on like i said the amount of time and money you plan to put into it.
head work is pretty essential to meet the low 14s. at least a gasket match p&p with a good valve train.
next step is great tuner and a good tuning device. Hondata is always safe bet but now that Neptune is coming thats also an option.
i have to say that hitting low 14s was a challenge and now that im in the high 13s on BFGs my next task is low 13s to high 12s ...but ive done extensive engine work and im still not done.
earlier in this thread someone posted a link to one of our cars. hes a great driver and honestly so am i... so that said getting your driving down will help a lot.
