Yea, I know I'm late but I don't visit many other sub forums other than accord/turbo ones.

Speaking of rice, theres a buncha ass clowns down here where I live that gather around the local college. A guy I know raced some ghetto fabbed integra with a turbo VS his 2002 wrx 2.0 turbo. at any rate, I went to watch them race up this nice long hill we have, there was an integra there watching/following as well( N/A), so I figure cool I'll see if i can keep up with these foolz in my family sedan.




They take off, then we start to follow that teg starts pushing smoke out like it was a diesel, running crazy rich. I blew by him like it was a ford festiva. Later I asked him what was wrong with it, and his reply or excuses , you decide which, were:

#1 I dont have a cat so it runs rich. - doesnt make much sense to me, but if someoen can explain im all ears, but he said "the O2 sensors are geeking since theres no cat and making the car dump more fuel."

#2 I put bigger AEM injectors on it. - I don't remember if he even said what CC they were. When I asked him why he put "bigger" injectors on it, he said "I'm gonna get it tuned for them but no one around here does OBD-II tuning"

I don't know anything about integras or o2 sensors making a car run rich, though if he changed his injectors to bigger sized ones that would do it as the car can't tell what CC injectors its running. but WHY the hell would you!? he doesnt have a supercharger or turbo.. god, I heard some other dumb ass kid saying someone had a "stage 2" supercharger on their saturn redline. I hate that stage crap.

He also said he "built the engine" im guessing hes trying to say that he rebuilt it with quality parts. Yea w/e.

WVU should run down here on a fri/sat and burn the rice up

BTW the kids wrx lost to the teg, supposedly he was running 4 lbs of boost but they were messing with the car before running up the hill.

1. a cat delet will make your car run lean not rich. what i think he did was not reinstall the o2 sensor which would cause him to run rich.

2.adding larger injectors without a tune to control them will cause you to run stupid rich. he could wash the cylinders and fuck up his motor if he runs too rich. i know he has already definitely fouled a plug or two. did his car sound like a wrx when he hit W.O.T?

3. wrx's 2.0's are slow. i can walk cobb stage 2's with full exhausts and 16psi on my stock t25g at 7 psi. stock 2.0 wrx's only put down about 170whp and there gearing is horrible for highway pulls. a stock teg even at 5-7 lbs should be in the 190-210 whp range depending on the size of the turbo even running rich. if it's a vtec teg then he'll be in the 250-270whp range depending on the turbo

P.S. how far is huntington from motown? You should come up this weekend if it isn't too far. i'm turning 23 and we're going out

Its about 250 miles from here to there.

I dunno exactly what hes done to that teg, I don't know what it sounds like cause my car isnt quiet and i wasnt behind his fubar'd car for long

I told him he needed to find a way to open his TB up and NOT have the gas floorded to keep it from running rich,
but I think taking his intake apart is actaully above his mechanical skill. I'm sure theres a spot in there that the car would run fine, just not with the pedal al the way down.... SOOOO much black smoke. I wouldn't drive my car like that.

his problem is that he prolly didn't put the o2 senor back on an obd2 car, and he's runnign larger injectors on a stock car. he needs ems
