You'll make MORE Power having someone tune your car, or getting a tune from phearable.net or someone like me, rather then trying to put a ctr/itr cam in and run it on a stock ecu.

Personally I did this..and there was a difference (mostly an improved mid range area) but not whole lot of difference. If you do all the work, wanna get some kicks and a bit more power..I'd say go for it. It's a good learning experience.
Otherwise IMO...it's not really worth the effort and you should consider install a full set of type r cams at the very least to make it worth it.
I disagree with "9400rpms" on the because it's OEM so you don't need to need upgrade the valvesprings. You don't need to but I wouldn't trust it overtime.
Also i'm not 100% sure but I believe some early auto b16 heads don't have dual springs (i know the retainers are different for sure)..and if you have an auto head you really should upgrade the valvespring/retainer.
And on a final note after you do all this...it's probably won't make much difference and could actually hurt power....until it's tuned.

No?
All b series heads have duel intake springs Search, you seem to YOU dont know what your talking about even when i provided information that clearly states changing the valvetrain is really not needed at all. You want a piece of mind? Dont fucken rev the piss out the damn thing. Again You PEOPLE Are saying stuff you dont know people dont go to you and ask for advice, they come to me, they PAY ME to make they're cars go fast, if you want the correct things to do, pm me, i'll walk you through the correct way to make the most out of the minimal amount needed.
LOOK at the stats i provided all that work is worth nothing barely, you'll be lucky to see 5whp on a stock ecu and thats in midrange.
Clue you in on something dont feed this kid worthless bullshit you know nothing about.
Again you people argue with someone who's been doing this for years.. here's another info to back up my statement
From HONDA-TUNING.COM nukka
"with the exception of the Type R--only have dual springs on the intake valve. The regular B-series dual intake valve spring set-up can be run with the Type R cams because they are actually stiffer than the Type R intakes. This is because the Type R valves are lighter than the regular B-series valves."

OK buddy I really don't know what your problem is. This is stuff I've experienced and seen first hand. We are basically telling the same story anyways.
I said it's not really worth it...and you said it's not really worth it.
I said it's only gave some midrange..and you said the same thing.
You said that you don't need to upgrade the valve springs...I agreed you don't need to but you should if you want to go over the stock redline....and I guess you agree too since you said :

your own "hondatuningmagazine" says "When installing these cams on a non-Type R VTEC B-series engine, you should install the appropriate Type R intake valve springs on the exhaust side of the head."
but then again "hondatuningmagazine" also say PCT's in a b16 = 11:1 compression...so some of the info might be questionable anyways. as stated here: http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=717928
I realize there so much misinformation on the net and it gets kinda annoying. So relax, I'm not trying to pick an internet fight...but who's got the misinformation?

Um, as i stated, all b series have dual intake valve springs, the type-r is the only b series that has dual exhaust springs.
Nobody's misinformed.
And the only Difference according to a few books and threads on ht, between early early b16's and say the sirII's or b16a1's or a2/a3/a4's is the compression. Cams are the same degrees, and some of the porting is different.. compression is the only thing different
Thx for providing some good reading materal, at least someone provides some type of backup for they're claim.
