hey guys.. i just need help with one thing...Well im going to Put a STOCK GSR in my car and i have a b20b block laying around..so all my friends tell me to put that block and make a b20/vtec...But im not sure..i wanted to see what feedback i get from here first...Which would be better, And faster...Thanks
id stick with the gsr............i think u have to get differnt pistons for the b20 if the cylinders are out of spec(i dont think honda made o.s. pistons)

if u have 1200 to spare, do it, if not the b20vtec will be poop
lemme explain why
pistons / rods and crank are poo poo
max rpms is 7000 grand u dont use all of the gsr's head power..
u need that black to get honed and sleeved, pistons / rods a good comp ratio combo like 11.1 or 11.8 somewhere around there and a good crank, slap the stock gsr head on there and make 190whp and run low 14's and high 13's all day if tuned correctly..the gsr head i wouldn't worry about, i'd worry about the b20vtec block going..some people slapping shit competely together running a gsr ecu
the motor doesn't last longer then a month like that..thats why so many ls/vtec's dont last...ls block with a gsr or b16a head using a gsr or b16a ecu reving the piss out of it to 8200rpms when the ls bottem end can only handle maybe 7500rpms max and the b20..sucks even more max revs should be around 6800.

No, use the gsr ecu, but build that bottem end before u go reving the piss out of it.

im in the same predicament sell me your b20 block if u decide not to use it. but anyway theres no neeed to sleve the block keep it simple. hone the bitch get ctr pistons, dowel pin it and balance it the rest is common sense.

you rev a completely stock b20 to 8400rpms??
drive your car off a cliff..your giving this dude the wrong info because you do it, doesn't mean its right..
the rod bolts let loose at around 7500rpms you haven't been reving it that high for that long..and if you have, your running on pure luck.

Enlighten me on why i've been quoted..
your do realize your just making yourself look like a complete idiot when the stock Rods / Rod bolts of any b20 are really only safely reved to oooo around 7200-7500 maybe?? that puts added stress on a rod/rod bolt thats not made for those high rpms..it also stresses a crank that isn't balanced or again made for those high rpms..
i love it when idiots such as yourself try to take quotes such as mine and make fun of me..
i've built engines, i've tuned engines have you built b20vtecs u dumb idiot?? have you? because i've built 4 so far, and 3 with a gsr head, 1 with a type-r head and i dont care where the power is, they were only revved out until 7200 until those guys paid to either get better rods and rod bolts or their bottem end was fully built..
Stock b20's have a rev limit of 7000 grand or somewhere around that for a reason..your a dumb little fuck if you think my quote is wrong.
