7k rpm's from any honda engine isnt impressive

This was not by any means a 1/4mi. time record, race, etc..
It was only to show the difference in sound levels verses OEM, which to my
amazement sounded like a stock Si, which even Honda themselves stated.

right, cause how your car sounds is an indication of performance

Its all you guys with these K20s that hate on R18's when really this motor is a good motor overall, yea....economy is definetly there which i like but it does move like a lil rocket, now that the motor is broken in, i can jump into redline and with the mods done to it opens up pretty impressively.

i bet this is your first honda.

Once i get my Fidanza & ACT installed i have even more HP to play with!
|
are you expecting a clutch and flywheel to give you hp?
Quote:
|
like i said, ill look for a Dyno sheet cuz i have seen the numbers which im sure were like 8HP for the CAI, and ive already requested a vid shoot with my buddie that did the first one when i got the civic.
|
oh so it's not your own dyno sheet? i bet it's one from the manufacturer huh?

But then lets get back to the K20....OOOF!!
ok 57HP not bad, but 11TQ,....OOOOOH im scared!
till then.....PeecEs!

Aluminum flywheels, while made out of high strength aluminum, have a steel friction surface that can be replaced when you do your next clutch job. Typically they do not get resurfaced.
A stock flywheel weighs in at about 19 lbs. Our lightened stock ones are 14 to 14.5 lbs. That 5 lbs alone is enough to feel a difference. Aluminum
flywheels weigh 9 lbs for DSMs. Now you are talking. You are using less power to spin the flywheel and now have more power available to move your car down the road.
Lots of people freak out about any "theoretical" negative drivability issues with lightened flywheels. They are wrong, it's all good. They are not too light for street use, they won't break apart, they are stepped correctly for ACT and CFDF clutches, On a 80 hp honda you could go too light, but not on anything with enough power to pull the skin off pudding. You will have to compensate a little in your launching technique, a little higher launch rpm will be necessary. Your shifts will be better with the engine rpm now better matching the next gear. These are SFI certified.
|
Now by actually getting MORE HP means parts like Camshafts, Turbo, Supercharger,etc....i hope i dont have to explain this to you?

130kmh on that crappy narrow road is impressive, and the corners are horrible, i was watching my speedo when my buddie looked up from his camera to see one comin at us real quick so i hit the binders hard.
"EarthQuake" statement made on this Video was not to reflect the OOOOH sooooo impressive power of a R18, it was cuz the camera vibration made him stick it in the video when editing it.

what k20 do have you seen that has 56hp and 11trq?Are we talking about your r18 engine? LOL
People with K24's are hitting 280-300whp NA... Thats something to write home about. I bet a b18 mild build has wayyy more HP and TRQ then a Built R18. haha... you can think your R18 is fast all you want... Until you get a dynosheet showing at least 150whp i wont be impressed.
Here is a REAL BADASS VIDEO Can you bury the needle this quick?

Stock VS stock R18/K20 = 57HP/11TQ difference between the 2 models.
oooh thats hard to come to that point right?
im not impressed with it in the least.
how about a lil power to weight ratio?
another one....if you were to strip the R18 clean of all additional weight alone such as panles, seats, carpets and even windows i seen a R18 beat the K20 just cuz of this. Along with the K20's added 300lb innitially makes this an interesting race.
lol

considering a stock k20 with a header and intake tuned on kpro can easily put out 200-220whp give or take

dude your a fucking retard.... This just goes to show you what kind of ricer drives a 2007 civic NON SI and thinks its fast. I bet if you dyno that POS you wont even get 140hp. There is no way in hell it has 11ft trq less then a k20
put down the crack pipe.
