LS VTEC HEAD?

i searched...but couldnt find anything relevant to my question so here goes...i just recently got a 96 LS motor swapped into my civic; and still feel that i'm lacking hp. so i want to put a vtec head on the block. my question to those who have done this swap or know someone that has is: does it matter what kind of head you get? or is it preference? im assuming if i get a b16 head, i would also need a Si ECU; and if i got a gsr head, i would need a gsr ECU...are my assumptions correct? thanks in advance

no. whatever you decide, you would need to get an ems and have it tuned to run properly, as these (ls/vtec, crv/tec) aren't factory engines.

as far as head choices go, itr & b16 seem to be the best choices.

is there a reason that the itr or b16 would be a better choice over the gsr head? or is it just proven?

the headflow characteristics are superior to the gsr, and the TB on the gsr is dual stage? ahh i shouldn't be typing so early, as i can't exactly remember... but something about the butterfly on the gsr throttle body...
