Hey guys, i have a 97 integra gsr with 103000 miles on it. I briefly thought about adding a turbo, but i decided it wasn't the best option. So far i've added a dc sport cold intake and msd wires. I just had new belts, water pump, and distributor put in. I wanted to do some more mods and needed some advice. What would be the best mods to get more juice out of my engine. I was thinking about doing a cam swap and also adding a chip. Does anyone have any recomendations on which brands would work the best. thanks.
Car: 1995 Honda Del Sol S, 1971 pontiac lemans, 1998 Malibu LS
Mods: Name it, engine swap, Rota wheels, Flaken Aziens, AEM intake, headers, hyper medalion full exhaust, lowered, apc reverse indiglo gauge faces pioneer premier headunit, 2 jbl 4.800's amps leading to the Four infinity kappa perfect component 6 1/2 speakers, a 2.800 jbl run tpo 2 infinity perfect 12's and way more fiberglass than I should have done.
im seriously not hating on you, but how many more ways are people going to ask bang for the buck, or what will give *X* engine the most hp gains.
Off hand for you next if your staying all motor would be head work but to get the most out of headwork you need a good flowing exhaust setup, than to tune it all right you need a programed ecu.... see how there is a logical progression of sorts here.

I've heard from countless people that running ITR cams, both intake and exhaust, will add some top-end power, which is all your gonna get with N/A bolt ons... I've heard the aftermarket cams aren't very good, no matter the manufacturer...
But, u need ITR dual-spring exhaust valve-springs so that u won't have valve float at high rpms, plus titanium valve-spring retainers are a must...
If u don't have a header, get a DC-sports 4-1 NOT 4-2-1. The 4-1 is optimized for high-rpms...
hmmm, what else...
Oh yeah, get ur ECU re-chipped...
Keep in mind, this will not really add much power or torque, in other words u will feel hardly any difference from the seat, but if ur torque curve is longer, cause of the cams and valve-springs being able to breathe better at extremely high-rpms (plus ECU ETC), u will gain top-end HP...
BTW, why not a turbo?? 103,000 mi is not bad, given regular maintenance...
U will notice far more power gained from a turbo...
Later

exactly... took the words right outta my mouth.
if you want to achieve the same level of power by going with an NA setup opposed to going with a turbo route. i can assure you that you will be spending A LOT more money.

Thanks for the advice guys. The car's been pretty well maintained(wix filter with mobil 1 every 3000). The only thing i'd be concerned about with a turbo is the longevity of the engine. This car is my daily driver and the only car i have. Also, i've read the turbo and supercharger stickys and i can't decide which would be more suited for me. I don't really drag race much and i'm looking for something that would maintain the driveability. Thanks.
