NA buildup on a non-honda

Hey guys..

Don't take this the wrong way, but in the Japanese car world, hondas are obviously best in making N/A motors..

I'm currently doing reserach for a N/A build for my own car, which isn't a honda (but my sister has an RSX!!!)...its a 350z. I just wanted some ideas on what YOU guys do for N/A mods since its the road less traveled in the Z world. So far, no one has successfully hit 300rwhp on the Z in the states, which is a shame..
What do you guys recommend (nothing specific) that has shows the best results for newer engines? What are the limits of N/A, assuming an infinite budget.
If it matters, the engine will be reving to 8500rpm w/ titanium rods and lightweight forged pistons at 12.3:1 compression. Titanium valves also. Engine is non-sleeved, overbore to 3.6 liters (not much..just for honing the pistons). Crank will also be balanced and cold forged. Headers will be equal length.

Nissan also uses VTC pully system for low end torque, which has no effect on HP after 3500rpm.

How much can i expect from a ITB setup also? Its never been done..

You'd think i'd be more succesful, but only 2 or 3 guys have done a full N/A buildup and not much has been learned..
Im trying to learn more from engines that are succesful N/A..

Cams are inline but damn, the cams you guys have are huge! Biggest cam i've seen for the Z is a 292 duration 13mm lift..

i would think that cams, high compression, and great tuning is the key. (of course after all of the bolt-ons)

I find it hard to believe that no one has hit 300whp on a 3.5L v6 engine that is rated at 300hp from the factory.... Please do some homework on the appropriate sites... Jim Wolfe probably sells everything that you need...

I dont mean to be rude, but no one has hit 300rwhp. That hp would equate to around a 109 or 110 trap speed. I dont go by dynos much, but even then, no one has really hit 300rwhp w/o headwork, cams, high comp pistons, full valvtrain kit, headers, intake, exhaust, lightwieght rods. He hit 343rwhp at 9000 RPM. With NO, he hit 550rwhp at 8500rpm. He should be able to hit 700rwhp on a bigger shot at 8000rpm on race gas. But, he has spent 15k $$. Im sure its cheaper through better tuning, ITBs and a hybrid engine from the older VQ30DE, which is a bit stronger, but doesn't have higher technology.

You said you had an infinite budget so I'd say you should put a bunch of scientists and engineers on a payroll and have them design you an engine from scratch and buy a warehouse and stock it whatever machines parts and tools they need to do it. I bet they could get you over 500 hp all motor easy. Mabe even alot more.

and then after that you can start mass producing the engine if its successful and more even more money.
