You can buy a stack, or go low-tech and use a subwoofer port from www.parts-express.com or the inlet from a shop-vac (they are designed to suck ).
I was also under the impression that the comptech icebox setups had v-stacks built into the filter itself.

The Comptechs have the VStack on the lower piping that goes from the ground to the icebox, but the one Ken is sending me doesn't have that very bottom part....not sure what you mean by the filter itself, it's just comptech's universal cylinder filter, nothin special. I'll probably go low-tech with any trumpet like shape that has a 3'' Connector.
Doesn't look like 9400 has prior dyno's to compare his before and afters, but I'm lined up for a freebie dyno and the only change will be the Comptech Icebox from the AEM SRI, and maybe this time I'll take it to my 7500rpm redline...7500rpm sounds much scarier on the rollers than on the street in my B18B lol.

I was using the comptech icebox on my old setup. I remember the horn at the bottom, but I was using the gsr filter in the si box. I'm pretty positive that the insert into the filter had a vstack built into it. Its a common practice as injen filters have v-stacks built into them as well. I've still got it all in a box somewhere. If I remember, I'll take a look when I get home.

The icebox will sound mean. I had it with a semi built d16y8 (headwork) with edelbrock performer X IM & SMSP header. It growled

hell ya, i'll bbq or something we'll have a few people over and we can go both break into the 12's together..
it'd be fun. i just hope i'm not disappointed..
i wasn't upset with the itbs per say i loved them, its just that i've seen this manifold make almost 18whp gain over everything its been tested on, and i want it..

Started yesterday night removing the gsr tranny and setting up the JDM R tranny for install
Removed both axles / half shaft
Remove starter and slave cynlider
Remove all the wiring and everything holding the tranny including the back bracket
I actually did all this, by myself, i even mover the tranny off the motor myself just bending over the car and i'm not what i would call swoll, i am ripped at 6' at 187lbs, but it wasn't no easy task.
I cleaned the flywheel and clutch off, cleaned the tranny as well, and repainted everything, i'ma probably get a new tranny mount of the upper and lower part. As of now, my new manifold which is the only thing i'm waiting one wont be in until Dec 14th, thats how much edelbrock is on backorder..i ordered it nov 7th, keep that in mind.
Tomorrow i'll hopefully have the tranny on when a buddy stops to give me a hand. I'll then take my time putting things back on
i must say tho, its very helpfull to have my new impact setup, i've had this impact shit for 3 years and haven't used it until now, Air hammer, impact gun whole nine, it makes things so much easier.. i swear. i'll post some pics in a few.

Wow, X-Mas came early for you this year (or Hannukah just kicked off last night)....look at all those toys!
That manifold looks great. What are you running for the intake with that V-Stack? What header is that?
Lookin goooooood, plans to put it on the dyno, or more of your famous street-tuning?

going for a custom vstack setup actually..
dyno will be there, but the famous street tuning will help too.
getting a new header as well.
rmf or hytech dont know which yet.

Last I heard from Ken when I was looking for a good header, was that his Hytech replica Rage header yielded crazy ass numbers and for the great price of the replica with no fitment issues. Not sure if they use the same grade metal.
