next, go search on honda tech for rocket m22's. you will see nothing but positive things about them. "better" is a subjective word. it's better in some ways and not so in other's.
the m22x has a great midrange and excellent top end if set up properly. the m22xx has even better midrange and doesnt fall off in the top end.
Here is a funny video of an ls-vtec running m22 cams. If you lookinto the history of the guys posting, they were so happy that vtec finally worked on this setup that is why they are cheering. Funny how my friends bone stock ls crx revs faster and accelerates quicker than this car.

Let me see if Im understanding this right...
Sage was given a set of cams for $100 as part of a sponsorship/testing deal between Sage and Rocket... Correct?
So, with that being said, the fact that it was a prototype part for testing purposes only dictates that it was not a finished product but rather a product in the testing and develoment phases. Part of testing usually if not always entails the testing and recording of any wear or potential wear of components working with or as a part of the prototype cams.
110% of the time a manufacturer providing any sort of sponsorship and or product testing arrangements will do so with the universal understanding that such parts are not, and never to be resold, under any conditions or circumstances.
Tell me Sage, why would you sell a customer a prototype part that was given to you under particular conditions to a customer? Im assuming you had full knowledge that this part was given to you for testing and overall analysus purposes and was not by any means a final RM product.
What inspired you to sell this particular set of cams to a customer?
I think the only thing Rocket did wrong here was assume that you could be trusted with any sort of sponsorship and or product testing deal.
cliffs notes: guy was sold prototype cams not intended to be sold as final product, cams mess up motor, guy jumps to conclusions and bashes Rocket and his products.
LOL I am not here to bash, but the guy jumping to conclusions was a RM dealer way before it was called RM, and the guy you quoated is Rick Solis who is now banned, and please PLEASE go ahead and do an archive search on Rick Solis and see what HE has said in regards to Rocket back before he left IB and went in with RM.
I'm not bashing, you said everything that you heard was good, well you did NOT search good enough. I'm sure you will be happy with your cams. People have the right to know both sides. Please do not ever think you know anything by a post from Rick Solis. He knows nothing about any of it and he is just twisting words to be in his favor. He is also the one that had the Mod lock it on HT so he gets the last word. I also do not think it is nice to quote a post like that with peoples real names. You need to edit it.
Please remove your last post, quoting Rick Solis like it is fact makes you look really _ _ _ _ _ _!
You need to remove your post, quoting Rick Solis is like quoting the devil himself.
I know all involved and the person's name your posting there in your quote was an RM dealer, Rocket knew they guy was going to run those cams and told him to put them in. A price between a dealer and the manufacturer is always cheaper than from the customer to the dealer and the m20 cams were a regrind cam that was going to be sold on the open market for less than $200.
Cliff note:
Dealer ordered cams, never received cams he ordered so settled for regrinds.
Put regrinds in and blew his first motor ever the first day he installed said cams.
Asked Rocket if it was o.k. to run them in Oli's motor for testing.
Blew Oli's first motor ever.
Ordered alot more RM parts, rebuilt it and every part bought failed and the rocker arms got chewed up in the process.
IMO it was a bad set of grinds nothing more. I used to sell RM parts with the guy in your post. He is a honest guy, there is no way he would post something about RM like that unless it was serious. I have personally helped run the gen 1 springs to 10k rpm with no problems, and had alot of good luck selling RM products with the guy you quoted above. The guy you quoted above ran his RM springed ls/vtec to 9k everyday for a long time with no problems. But he did have problems with other stuff and is why he stopped selling them.
I give RM a thumbs up and that is my lil bro posting above me BTW.
