Hey this is prolly listed some where but thought i'd ask so i could tell my friend. He has an 03 RSX type S and he got cold air intake and cat-back, and Type R cams with reflash ecu, and also has header. He wanted to know what kind of power he is making. With intake and cat-back he ran 9.8 in the 1/8 and then got the Type R cams and ecu reflash and ran 9.3 but damn is it fast. Just tell me where u think his HP and TRQ could be. thanks for the help.
i have a buddy with a 02 type-s. last time he dynoed 187hp and i forget the tq. he had the dc shortyheader, injen c/a,safc2,stock exhaust piping with a welded on muffler, stock longblock . ran mid 14s on street tires with shitty 60 fts.
yeah w/o a doubt get to a dyno. you can have 2 cars with the exact same setup and they will produce dif. numbers. i was just giving him an example of a lightly modded type-s numbers.
He was on his way to a high 14 second pass with those 9.xx second 1/8 mile times. Right around where it should be, i bet his 60' sucks ass. Where are you racing the 1/8 mile at?

different dynos will give different numbers. Numbers are just for bragging. The important thing is to alwaz run on the same dyno so u can accurately measure the gains

yes diff dynos will yield diff numbers but even the same dyno isnt always consistant. there are to many variables. even the same dyno can produce diff numbers w/o changing anything on a car. and peak numbers should not be the goal it is the power under the graph that you are looking for.

Dynapacks are acuurate to within .3% on the same dyno everytime.

regardless, unless you are in a controlled enviroment such as climate control the numbers will vary regardless of the dyno. the same car on any dyno even a dyno pack will yeild different numbers with less than a 10 degree in temp drop or rise. please correct me if i am wrong.
