sleeve or block gaurd needed on all motor B20?

if i run a high compression B20 (crvtec) do i need a block guard or have it sleeved?

how bad are the stock b20 sleeves?

Youll be fine for NA. Just make sure you replace those rod bolts with ARP units if you want to rev over 6000.

well the motor would get forged rods and pistons and 12.5-13.1 compression.

You should be fine. Ive never heard of a B20 having sleeve issues under NA use. You can throw a block guard in if you want- theyre cheap, but they dont really do anything. I think youll be fine.

Big cams, high compression, and a good (really good) header will get you there. And a P&P is pretty nessecary.

I have 3 recommendations.

Hondata S300- the most advanced tuning device available for the price. Runs about $500, and does more than enough for your setup.

Hondata S200- "Basic Cable." It gets the job done 100% well, just doesnt have the bells and whistles. Runs about $200-250. Tuning time will also be less with this than the s300. Most honda tuners tune with Hondata.

Crome- A lot cheaper, but has all the capabilities as S200. It is less common, so fewer people tune with it, and it is a Beta (i believe), so it sometimes has some bugs.
