tech wrench Tranny finally failed who to rebuild??

Hey guys my 99-00 si tranny's syncros finally went bad and all need to be replaced. Just wondering if anybody had a good solution for me I live in the so-cal area. I'm willing to take the tranny out of the car to take it somewhere but I dont trust myself putting in the syncros myself and prolly dont have the tools. If its cheaper to just find a working used tranny anyone know where I can find one. Thanks alot guys.

GSR is slower with the longer gears. Your car will be slower, but gas milage should improve...in theory. If you don't give a crap about gas milage and just want straight up performance, then find either another S4C tranny(Si), or else get the S80 tranny(GSR) and have a 4.785 final drive thrown in there, that should compensate some for the taller gears.
