When is too big too much

So i've decided to kinda re-do my build a little since I have to pull the head anyway to fix my compression leak. Reason it's taken me so long to fix is cause i've been debating if I wanna change out parts already. My main question here is on an all motor setup such as mine when is too big of a throttle body too much? Here's the current list: bolded are things that I'm upgrading with new mods next to them all Skunk2

Built 2000 B18C5-type R motor
2000 Si tranny
Stage 2 port and polished head
Crower rods
JE pistons
12:1 compression
STR Cam Seal SKunk2 cam seal
Skunk 2 stage 2 camshafts Pro 2 cams
Skunk 2 intake manifold Pro series manifold
REV Valves Springs & Retainers Pro series valvetrain
Act Flywheel
RPS Six Puck Sprung Hub Clutch
TrePerformance 255lph fuel pump
Vission Fuel Pressure Guage
440cc fuel injectors
AEM Cam Gears Pro series cam gears
AEM Fuel Rail
AEM Fuel Pressure Regulator
AEM V2 cold air intake
OBX high flow cat Undecided
OBX JDM ITR 4-1 headers Undecided
Throttle body spacer Replaced with pro series throttle body
APC Cat-Back Exhaust Skunk2 mega r exhaust
NGK Blue Performance wires
NGK Iridum plugs

Will be getting the IM and TB port matched but before ordering the tb wanted to know if bigger is better for my setup?

Yea already decided on the 68mm. Soon as I posted last night I remembered I had the e-mail address of one of the techs that works on their project cars whom I met at either a Nopi or HIN event. Just asked him what size best complimented the pro2's specs, he said 68.

Lose and replace with what?

your stock fuel system is fine. You won't see any power gain if you replace it...and the intake is just a ripoff. Buy a generic ebay cold air or short ram. Trust me, I've used tons of intakes and really they only make different noises Slight changes in the powerband and response but in general they're all the same.

I thought the stock fuel system was only good until 190whp. As for the cai, I own about 4, an injen, a K2motor, an apexi, and recently the v2, figured, it's already purchased and intsalled as well as the rail, regulator, fuel pump, and injectors, no sense in swapping them back out unless i'm losing power, right?

The stock b-series fuel system (not including the fuel pump, personally I'd keep the upgraded one in there just for peace of mind) is generally considered to be fine til around 350-400whp.

Also, if I were you I'd swap the stock fuel stuff back on and swap on a cheapo intake and sell everything on ebay or the classifieds here to recoup as much money as you can.

What are you using for engine management? I say recoup some money and put it toward a hondata system or your choice of engine management and dyno time.

All the stock stuff is already gone. Have too many friends doing swaps that needs parts to keep anything in my garage.

currently running crome pro, but my S300 unit is already ordered and sitting at my tuner's shop down in TX waiting until the new mods are installed

Well at least change out the intake. The v2 is really quite overpriced and you can recoup some money by switching to a cheaper one.

My favorite intake was an Iceman CAI..plastic to reduce heatsoak and 2 piece so it could become a short ram for the rainy season. Got it used for 50 bucks shipped.

BTW looks like you're not afraid to spend $ for quality parts...I suggest putting a LSD for next on your list. Will make you loads faster than an intake or fuel system

stock injectors are good for that. the pump is good for more than you'll make all motor.

Stock injectors arent good for 190whp. Whoever told you that was misinformed. Every setup will be using different amounts of fuel at different RPMs, and will be making different levels of power at those RPMs. Im making 184whp, and my stock injectors would have been maxed out long ago. Im using 310s.

btw, at first I thought this thread was supposed to be in sextopic.

The JDM ITR motor makes 210bhp (around 180whp) and uses 240cc. 240cc can be used for 190whp, but if it were me I'd bump the fuel pressure up a tad....also H22 injectors are a cheap upgrade

Got the V2 for only $50 shipped as well from 2000redsi after he sold his si. The lsd has been on the list since I screwed up and gave away my type r tranny w/ lsd. Just been debating on spending the money and going with the phantom,. quaife, or just cheaping out and get the obx since it's been getting quite a few good reviews.
