b16 block is the best block to be built as rev free
guess how many liters of an F1 V10 motor is or them cowswort motors.
with the b18b block can't take the reving to much. that bitch with start smoking purple smoke/ burining oil. b18c or b16 can take the revs because there is constent spray of oil that lubs the pistons

You ask for advise and then when you get it you post up this shit like you know all about it...Go ahead chip your ecu and rev your ls bottom end to 9k it will be JUST FINE. But you already knew that. Have fun man.

wtf is this supposed to mean..... iwas just saying that i am not the first person who has built one so someone on a HONDA forum has to know something about the ls vtec bottom end ( i just wanted to see some #s and specs on similar builds)...........ps. idont know what you are trying to imply but i dont think i know everything........ ive never been a dick to anyone on this forum i guess i shouldnt give a forum the benefit of the doubt... just a bunch of people with opinions

The white civic got totaled cuz a girl rear ended me looking for gum in her purse
The engine survived and I bought an EG to put it in. I've only blown an engine once, it was from a stock retainer breaking. I've only had gsr motors and the most I've ever reved is my new build in sig to 9500. With the skunk 2 stage 2's the power doesnt go past that with my setup.

I posted my original comment because you sound like this guy I saw at do-it dyno where the techs there have successfuly boosted bseries engines to 6 7 and 8 hundred hp reliably for track cars. The guy had a b16 with a cheap turbo kit and had a bunch of lines backwards. The tech who knows his shit tried to tell him they were wrong but the guy swore they were right. So the tech said fine if you say their right their right lets dyno it. Engine blew up at 6,000 rpm. Should have listened.

Lol..I've never seen an ls/vtec last very long. They make power but its gotta be one of those things where you dont mind doing periodic rebuilds. At least from what I've seen of friends and such.
