A ZC1.6L to a 3L, possible?

Me and my friends have come across a person who claims to have bored out a zc 1.6L to a 3l, and also claims to be running the stock ECU and other engine components. Is it really possible, at least, to get 3L out of that motor?

He is full of shit.

The MAXIMUM displacement you can get out of that motor is about 1.85 liters.

79mm bore is the most you can sleeve a d-series engine and actually be able to drive it for more than a few seconds...and even if he swapped in a d17 crank he would only be at 1.85 liters

Thank you, at least i have an opinion from someone who actually knows they're stuff. BTW, i have no clue about imports, besides a little nissan (GT is RWD, GTR AWD) The difference in a 180sx and a 240sx, I'm a domestic person, i don't know anything about k blocks, b blocks, whatever the hell a ZC1.6 is, besides that it comes out of a Crx... but if you ask me a question about domestics (mostly the classic stuff) what engines available in a dodge daytona, difference in a 5l chevy and a 5l ford (ones a 305, and a 302, respectively). And i know what the hell a muffler bearing is... but where does blinker fluid go??? (lol)

BTW one cool thing about the ZC motor is that its the only DOHC D-series motor

KoolTrix is an unknown quantity at this point
With Sleeves you can safely bore out to 79mm.
Then a Stroker Kit could give you say...92mm (safely)
so thats gives you 1804cc = 1.8L.
However you could always stroke more, and bore more...
Maximum is 1.9L
I do believe back in the day MUGEN sold a stroker kit that has a whopping 100mm stroke.

ok i just bought a jdm motor it just says zc on it an it supposed to be a d16zc motor, its singleo.h.c. non vtec the tag says zc-a what is this its not the same thing u r talkn about i know that

My brother bought a similar motor from overseas but it had a sohc vtec head with the zc bottom end...little ripper of a motor...
