1.5L 3BL SOHC to vTec?

yup i'm back again, i have a 87 crx and wanted to know if anybody knew about this conversion, would i have to buy the whole new engine and chipset, or new top head and chipset, because I know that the Crx tranny is interchangable. help?

no no no and again no, a D series VTEC head will not fit on your carbed engine, its totally different... if you really want VTEC then swap in a B16 or another B, if you really want to use a SOHC VTEC engine then you will have to do alot of fab work to make it fit. Also what do you mean the CRX tranny is interchangable? the other D Series engines won't bolt onto your engine, they are to different, your engine D15a2 (otherwise known as EW1) isn't a real D series engine.
