Ok so i just picked up an 86 rex that runs o.k. with an o.k. body, Im putting the B16 into my 89 next week and thats gonna be my daily driver, so i am going to turn the 86 into a drag car. It is prob gonna be a turbo H22 but I don't know of any places to do the work, anybody know of a goodwebsite besides redpepper on ifno. for doing this swap. Thanx

i had no idea u could fit the h22 in a 1st gen....sounds awesome man...goodluck

HAHA it isnt easy but it can be done, yea im going to do the work myself but I just wanted to see what all of you guys thought and I wanted to read up on some stuff first. Im not worried about being streetable cuz it is going to be nothing but a drag car.

Check out DH Racing and watch their vids, they have an H22 crx that runs 11's and is a daily driver, but it isnt a 1st gen.

any pics of an h22 into a 1st gen? it sounds impossible, literally. i mean, of course, without HEAVY HEAVY HEAVY modification that might jeapordize the car structure.

I dont have any pics but i have seen it, remember this car will never see the street, the front of the car is going to be tubed and the firwall is going to be moved back, the front end is going to be one piece fiberglass.

This is going to be a year long project, i want it for next race season.

o0o0o....i thought u wanted to have street trim on and shove the h22 in the stock frame...makes sense...but damn man i hope u get paid well

I don't cuz im only 16, but my bro's twenty and he does, its like a brother project thing, and i have alot of help from ignited imports, i get a lot of stuff wholesale. And im going to take a year to a year and a lahf to build this car. It prob, won't be turboed, but just a extremely fast n/a car.
