88-91 CRX w/ ZC DOHC VTEC Q's

Hey, alright I've talked to alot of people who have dropped ZC DOHC VTEC's in their Si Rexs' but what I want to know is how the heck do you people make it pass DEQ (Department of Environmental Quality)? I live in Oregon, so DEQ is pretty strict, although still not like California but man these Japanese engines don't even have half the smog equipment our American engines do, not to mention the ZC engines are for "off-road use only". So, basically what I want to know is how you manage to pass DEQ because without passing you can't insure your car = can't drive .

Ahh the power of being a mod...

Yea I don't think there ever was any ZC engine that came with VTEC. You can do a VTEC head swap on the SOHC ZC, but it never came like that. Can you do a similar head swap on the DOHC though??? I think that would be radical.
