88 Tranny on 95 D15B7?

Now I know the splines are different on an 88 compared to a 89 and up where those will bolt up to Any D Motor. If we took the 88 Clutch and Flywheel and put it on the 95 D15B7 (92-95 DX LX Engine) will it line up? I am doing a swap on my friends car and its an 88. I am taking the engine out of my car and putting it in his.

Nope b/c my friends Transmission is Cable and we wanna know will the 88 Tranny WITH an 88 Clutch and Pressure Plate kit will work with the 95 D15B7 engine. The 88's Transmissions had different Splines than the 89 and above.
