AHHHH bullsheet

well here it is.... my crx is fixable and the guys that tried to steal it had to pay enough money in damage to fix almost the whole car, so i believe thats what is going to happen..... but i have a now bigger dilema becuase one of my best friends just picked up an evo ..... so when i get the car back i need to know if a crx with a b16 i\h\e 9.3 lbs flywheel exedy stage 1 clutch and a 65 shot will pull an evo on the highway... my car is completly gutted and there is almost nothing else to take out.... help

I think you will. I just hate the idea of NOS.....what are you gonna do spray all day long to keep up? I don't like to have "temporary power" I say go turbo

btw...I'm not trying to knock your idea of NOS, I'm just not a huge fan

alot of people i know were never very big on nitrous (i know its nos but it sounds too fast n furious) untill they either drove a car with it or had it in their own... its one of those things if done correctly it can be absolutly harmless and im not a nitrous freak, i dont just spray to race an escort... so i would much rather run nitrous on a mostly stock b16 than turbo a mostly stock b16 becuase the extra wear on the engine is only wen im holding that nice little black button and unlike the zex which i was a fan of since my buddy with an ls/vtec ran a 65 shot.... the selinoids work soo much better and hit soo much harder... dont under estimate the power of a little extra gas

* oh and by the way jadkar... your rex is lookin amazing i cant wait untill everything is done.... your set up is only somthing i can dream about... very amazing!!! good luck with everything on it.... and dont forget a lil 50 shot... doesnt seem like much but will only make it faster

First off...thanks for the compliments. :clap :clap This car has definitely been a labor of love for many years.

Second, your absolutely right with everything you said about NOS (N2O) I'm just a stubborn dude. When done properly it's an awesome weapon!!! Let me tell you....when I tracked the NSX at Watkin's Glenn there was a dude up there with a older NSX (3.0lt coupe). He had a 100 shot set-up on his car and he only used it on the front & back straights. What's crazy is the NSX out handles just about any car I've ever encountered on the track (short of a 996 cup car or fully built track car) it's just unreal to actually experience. You wouldn't believe what this 15 year old design can do in the twisties. BUT, what it does slightly lack is old fashion power. There are several cars which can out run it on the straights. With that said, this guy used to kill everyone in the turns and then exiting the last bends onto the straight always he used to hit the NOS. So just when all the vettes and vipers thought they had a chance he was gone. All this with minimal wear on the engine because it was only being used for a short amount of time (on safe straight sections of track). Pretty insane!!!

I think you'll take him. Highway racing is one of the weaknesses of the WRX/EVO/STi... They're fast as hell off the line, but the 50-70 time leaves alot to be desired. They're just not geared for it.

The US STi is a different monster alltogether though... But we're talking evo's

*Edit* oops, sorry to drag a dead post to the top of the page! :bh
