ATTENTION PLEASE READ
i am currently doing a motor swap on a 1989 crx i am learning a great deal but this is not my first swap i have done a mini me on a 94 cx hatch with stage 4 head and other topend features also i have swapped in a d15b these are a headache but easy compared to switching obd wiring motor mount and cable to hydro conversion the point is research and research what your going to swap
1. decide what your budget is and stick to it(currently im over mine by about 700.00 dollars and could be more
2.decide what motor is more important for your longterm goals there is no use in swapping in a motor when you want to go bigger later(a lesson im learning now cause i really wanted a gsr)
3.take your time DO NOT SKIP ON DETAILS if this cannot be performed look at number 1(i am performing details i never thought about water pump, rear main seal, thermostat, timing belt, hoses, etc...etc....)
4. Knowledge is power get to know people on here and the automotive industry trust me you do not know everything the best way to do a swap the best places to get parts and the better deals where you could save money(also learning this as we speak)
5. decide if the car is worth it(maybe there is something else you would like more than you 86 honda civic box maybe a 94 coupe with a sunroof)
6. MOST IMPORTANT WILL THE MONEY YOU HAVE SPENT BE WORTH IT
I LET YOU KNOW ABOUT MINE LATER FOR NOW STILL WAITING FOR PARTS
I hope some of this information helps you
I do not know near everything that i need to nor will i ever but i just have to try hope you do to

x2...It sounds like your looking for help but also want to throw in answers to the usual questions that "old school" dudes ask...(Here is what I want type shit and here is my budget)....N00b questions. And it sounds like your using these questions (like you're common knowledge (generic info) is something of importance to us when asking a question) in the order that a n00b would..You know, sort of like you know what to say but don't shit about what to do...Like for instances you said you swapped a fugging d15 into something and it was hard...There are two things wrong with this.
1) Why would you swap a d15 into anything despite "mini-me", since this is pointless with a d15.
2) You said a d series swap into a d series car was hard (head ache)???...Nuff said
I'm not hating, just saying you sound like a Class A n00b (like what I am in track racing).

Sorry if my Engrish is like that of a damn Filipino strip-whore, but I'm drunk and you know how that goes....Plus you know what I mean even if I'm a little tipsy..

lol.. i think many people here do not need an outline by now..good try, i guess. For now just stick to posting info on your swap since you say you don't know "everything" and you'll be fine.
And yes Happy 4th of July
