D16A6 Turbo

Hey my 91 Crx Si has the stock D16A6. I was thinking of buying a complete turbo upgrade kit. Has anyone done it or know someone who has? Kit is about $2400 on turbokits.com. Any info would be helpful. I have a slight case of ***** envy. Only mods on engine are 4-2-1 header, full exhaust, and Reactive toucan filter charger. Check out pics. I'm sick of it looking faster than it is... Thanks

and you can also build your own kit cheaper than that kit. plenty of people have turbocharged d series motors. some have even beaten a Z06 or two. its all in how you build/ tune it.

thanks for the feedback

I guess what i really want to know is if anyone has done it to a stock engine and how well it handled it, or if the ECU went bananas or anything. And as long as i had it apart if there was anything i could change to make the mod work better. Kit already comes with 12:1 boost dependent FMU, and high volume fuel pump.

greddy turbo kit $1400.00 plus intercooler $600.00 complete kit with the sucky e manage , but emanage is good up to 7 psi i made 159 whp and 160 pounds of torque with my d16z6 its a good kit for starters i'm not saying that its the best turbo kit, but it's the easies kit to use it's bolt on and no more tunning but it's set to 5 to 6 psi only plus u have to weld the b.o.v urself , many people would say that emanage sucks but u wont blow ur engine if ur not gonna mess with the emanage warning don't go past 7 psi

u can't beat a corvette with a stock engine, maybe u can in one race
maybe u'll be in 15 psi but good luck bout the d16z6 bottom,if ur staying stock don't go past 7 psi or else boom , not saying u can's go higher than that 15 psi has been done before (which is possible cause of good tuning)but do more reseach before u do it ..i think the other guy is talking bout a built motor, i hope
