D16z6 questions?

what should i be running the quartermile with I/H/E and a clutch running the Crx si computer??? I am running 15.8's and thats seems really pathetic to me...I am using the MSD rpm switch to activate my vtec. Please inform me of my proper quartermile time thanks

Using a P28 ECU might help out your time a little bit....because you are probabally running lean right now when the VTEC kicks in. As far as a time, CRX Si's are suppost to run mid-16s stock....so your time is probabally about right, but you should be able to get low-mid 15s most likely when it is properly tuned.

CRX Si's should run ya about mid 16's upto high 15's stock. Like a 15.9 maybe 15.8.
But 00CivicVtec is right about the VTEC issue.

I can tell you that you don't have a 6th gen civic ex tranny unless you have really small tires In 1st I hit 30mph and 2nd I hit 60mph....I wish I had an NSX...it hits 100mph in 1st gear

DX final Drive ratio = 3.89:1
Si Final Drive ratio = 4.25:1

yeah as Si tranny has a better final drive. but it ain't hurting that much. enjoy the gas milage.

I could see really wanting an Si tranny vs DX if the ratio's were really far apart. if they were
DX final Drive ratio = 2.73:1
Si Final Drive ratio = 4.11:1
now that would be a problem

Final drive is not the only thing that matters. What are the gear ratios for both trannys? I bet there would be a rather large difference in using the DX and Si tranny, because I am sure the Si tranny has much closer gear ratios....enough to matter anyway.

nah...the only difference is in the final drive...other than the final drive the DX and SI trannies are the same...
