Anyone know or have any ideas on how to mount a 4 point harness in an 89 CRX SI? Only harness bars I can find bolt to CRX's WITHOUT door mounted belts(so ones with the belts mounted to the B pillars)
if you have removed the plastic interior you could bolt to the brackets near the rear wheel wells that the optional rear seats mount to. That would be a better angle than the back of the front seats.

i mounted my sparco 3 point harness to my rear shock tower. might not have been the best place for it but it was a great angle as far as comfort goes.

I will say it once more for the ricers that grace this site and i see on the road. A pep boys muffler, Rims, and 12's in the trunk, DO NOT make your car "Modified"!!!!
I thought about using my rear strut bar but was advised not to. I'm not sure what kind of angle i'll be looking at if I did end up going that route....idk maybe i'll just save up for an autopower cage

while i def. agree that it was not the safest place for the mount it was convienient and i had 0 belting otherwise(german edm suede door panels=no door mounted seatbelts). if your in a pickle about mounting why not just have one welded in??? make yourself some brackets and get a shop to bend you a bar, mandrel bent of course.

well I don't have a problem with having one welded in but i was just seeing if there was any other options. Like I said i'll probably just go with the autopower one since it's removable also
dont get a harness bar..get a roll cage..reason im saying this is because i was looking at getting one for my car and i did some searching..came up with this...if u get a harness bar and get in a wreck there are going to be some situations where ur gunna have to slide out of the seat belt..with a harness u cant do that..if u had a roll cage u would be ok because the roll cage would keep the car from crunching...also if u mount the harness at a down angle and not right behind u then when u get in a wreck the harness is going to be at a downward angle and its going to compress your spine. hope that helps

I welded a harness bar in to the rear of my CRX, slightly behind the - cargo cover still fits and it adds rigidity to the rear end. I'll get you pics tomorrow (you'll have to ignore the mess of random parts), if you like the idea I'm sure someone can copy it in to your car.
