Heat

I cannnot get the heat to work in my car. I will drive the car 40 min to school everyday and the temp gauge doesn't go up, but the engine is warm/ up to temp, but when i turn the heat on it doesn't blow hot air.

I went through a similar problem. It was the heater duct door under the dash. It was out of adjustment. But my temp. guage worked fine. Look at my thread.

Mine is so damn hot it will run you out. Start and run your car until the engine temp. gets up. Turn your knob to hot. Look behind the stereo, you will see a cable. Unhook it. Move the white thing that it was connected to, to one side or the other and feel for heat from your vents. When you feel heat, reconnect the cable. You may have to mash the cable bracket down to hold it better. My daughter shoved her book bag up under my dash on the way to school. When she pulled it out, it caught on the cable and the heat knob would only open the duct door 1/2 way. Therfore only 1/2 the heat. I was able to reset the cable and get my HOT heat back. Good luck. I learned to look there by posting to this forum. I forgot the guy's name who told me to check it...but thanks man!!!
