HELP! 88 hf d15b/turbo needs tune help

I put a jdm d15b from a 95 civic in my 88 hf and a little ebay turbo(I know ebay turbos suck) but that's not the problem. It runs off the stock ecu but runs like ass. I put a si ecu in from my si the pm6 and it runs then stalls. It has an fmu and 310cc injectors. I know it is mandatory to tune after going forced induction but I am not that familiar with chipping and tuning ecu. Its still obd0 and I believe the 95 motor is obd1 do I have to convert to obd1 then chip the si ecu with a d15b 95 civic basemap then go from there and how do I go from there I know obd0 uses turboedit but how do you change the tune on the chip like the basemap what all do I need? Any help would be appreciated

Thanx for the reply. I don't need to use it as a daily driver right now but that is a goal for it on low boost thenn kick the boost up when at the track so I will look into the conversion. Why does everyone push the obd1 conversion? Just for the tuning options increase or does it impact the way the car runs or u convert so u can run an obd1 ecu? Again thank you.

umm depending on the turbo you go with and the tune you go with you wont want to up the boost when you hit the track. the d series bottom ends dont like to hold well past 220whp. my recommendation.

use an obd1 harness
use a chipped obd1 p28 (better tuning options)
run a full t3 or a t3/to4 hybrid
and on a stock block i would only aim for 200whp (to keep it a safe car)

if you want any more power than that i would reccomend a piston/rod/headstud/rodbolt combo.

after the block is built they are normally safe to around 375-400 and thats without a blockguard and without resleeving.
