Its not worth it just running bolt ons but once you start to get into heavy mods they become more helpful.

ditto ignition is like buying 100 dollar spark plug wires.
i have the 6a and only noticed a slight improvement with advanced timing bumped fuel/air pressure.
use the money something like safc or vafc or ecu upgrades.

derek

don't need it if you are just running bolt-ons. get a V-AFC or S-AFC you'll be alot happier.

go with an ignition setup once you start running a heavily built all-motor car or go forced induction

As for the MSD setup not being worth it, I would say it is. It adds as much gain to the engine as some bolt ons. Some bolt items only add 1 or two ponies to your motor, yet when added up with all of the bolt ons, it can help out nicely. I have a MSD setup on my Teg with just bolt ons and I thought it was worth it. Car idles smoothly, gas mileage picked up, and a little bit better throttle response. If you are looking for something that will throw you into the seat when you stomp the gas, then no, it won't make the motor do that. This is one of those mods that sure can't hurt your ride to have it on and it costs about the same as putting a header on.
