Not enough info. It sounds like you're going for a serious race build, having both a turbo and nitrous on your engine, and yet you're looking at a d15b as an option? If you're going hardcore, get a b16a1, b18c1, or a b18c5 and call it a day. As much as I love the d-series, they aren't what would be considered "serious" engines. There are lots of reasons for this, the most compelling being the lack of strong transmissions. Get a b-series, or if you don't mind modifying your engine bay a bit, an h22a.
Personally, I'd go with a d16y8, d16z5, or d16a6, and call it a daily driver. If you really want to make it a weekend warrior, upgrade the fuel system and get a cam for it. Otherwise, a even a strong d-series won't cut it for what it sounds like you're looking for. The water jackets and sleeves just aren't meant for that kind of power, and instead of building the block and head up, just start with a more stable basepoint (b-series or d-series).
Or, you could ignore my advice and dig your heels in anyway. If you want a serious recommendation (I'm basically just giving you your options and what I'd personally go for) you're going to have to explain exactly what kind of car this is:
- spirited daily driver (d-series)
- weekend warrior (sees the track once in awhile, b-series)
- dedicated race (built b-series, h-series, or k-series)
Also, what does your budget look like?

^^^^^ D series trannies are weak? ? ? now drumming i beg to differ, quoted from bisimoto.com on F2D trannies:
"Strength of the individual gears is also a big plus (of the D-series). Unlike their B-series bretheren, D-based gears are "stubby", and take well to abuse. Favorite transboxes include, but not limited to, the '86 to '89 Acura Integra D16A1, and the '97+ Civic ex (due to the ferrous based shiftforks)."
i forgot where I read it but i think the D16a1 tranny gearing is the same as the GSR gearing . . but i'm grabbing that out of my rump, so i can't confirm it.
But thats all beside the point, Joewill2848, tell us what your goals are and maybe we can give you better ideas.

the B18a1 is a good swap, nice and fun, btw why do you want to do a hydro conversion? u should just use the cable B16 tranny and you will have some fun. there is a lot of info on the LS swap, drummingpariah did a writeup, look it up, you will find good info.

That writeup is actually getting a HUGE cleanup this month, thanks to Jordan's feedback. Stay posted.

That puts you directly in the b18a1 territory. That's hands-down, my suggestion. Otherwise, slap a d16a6 in there and focus on suspension/brakes.

Well he actually may be right... if the pic on his profile looks right its a 1st gen crx, and a stock B16 in a 1st gen could get you in the high 13's . .
but other then that i'll probably say BS!

The 350z is also a half-ton heavier. If the 350z driver isn't very skilled and the track is curvy, I could see it happening.
Way to bring a thread back from the dead, by the way!
