I belive that the Si tranny will be better as the gears are space a bit wider. I know the final drive on the ZC is 3.888 but look at the gear ratios compared to the Si they are much tighter together and I believe you would give up smooth hard pulling acceleration for bursts of speed. I have a turbocharged SOHC VTEC with a ZC/Si hybrid tranny and the gearing feels like I might be sprinting through the gears a bit to fast and not getting to use the torque much. Turbo adds a lot of torque you would be surprised. I will more than likely be using a DX tranny and a LSD unit in the future to make full use of the turbo's abilities plus to get a lower cruising RPM for the freeway. The DX and ZC have the same final drive ratio BTW. The Si is a bit to short for my taste when I had that before. I think maybe even the 4.092 from the sedans from 88-91 would be a good compromise between the 2 ratios also but I will more than likely get the DX with LSD like I said. The Zc would be a good track tranny but not really a good stret tranny. Also I mean race track not 1/4 mile track. cause there again the ZC/Si hybrid has me spinning tires all through 1st and most of second and a bit into 3rd and I have a stock clutch and Nitto tires. Its a pretty impressive sight to see but it doesn't make the car fast that's for sure. Peace! Here's a gear ratio list for the 88-91's:

4th Generation Civic (88-91’)
gear HF DX Si ZC (JDM)
1st 3.250 3.250 3.250 3.250
2nd 1.650 1.894 1.894
3rd 1.033 1.259 1.259
4th 0.823 0.937 0.937
5th 0.694 0.771 0.771
Reverse 3.153 3.153 3.153
Final drive3.250 3.888 4.250 3.888

I'm not sure where the ZC gears went sorry. Damn I need to find those. Here's the calculated speeds for my ZC/Si hybrid tarnny taking into account the 7200RPM fuel cut these are the top speeds of each gear.

1st -34.56
2nd -57.77
3rd -83.44
4th -109.04
5th -145.67
