2006 Honda Ridgeline - Honda’s first pickup.

Honda has picked up all fine qualities about the Odyssey minivan, the Element SUV and Pilot SUV, and styled new Ridgeline pickup truck, the newest and most modern pickup truck on the American market.

The all-new 2006 Honda Ridgeline has qualities that no other pickup truck can match. Pickup trucks are usually built with a separate nose section, cab section, and cargo bed, bolted to a separate ladder frame, but Honda pickup do something very unique. It adds a magic touch and uses both a welded unibody construction and a steel ladder frame, welded together, with the cab. Cargo bed made as one piece, with separate sub frames for the engine, front suspension and rear suspension are other highlights. Honda views that it is 20 times more resistant to twisting than any other pickup truck, and 3.5 times more resistant to bending. Ridgeline can carry 1550 pounds of cargo or tow up to 5000 pounds

The Ridgeline is one of the nicest midsize trucks to drive in terms of comfort and ease of use. Adding more glamour, Ridgeline is offered with a DVD satellite navigation system, displayed on an eight-inch-wide screen, plus XM Satellite Radio, leather seating surfaces and a moon roof.

In West New York, Hendrick Honda of Charleston offers a convenient Internet Buying Process with easy, anytime access to the entire Honda Line-up. Honda finally rolled out one impressive pickup that could match and even out score the Avalanche. I find the in-bed trunk that is located beneath its bed clever but nice though this could be a problem if a cooler is secreted away under a mound of camping gear or if a tire needs changing when the bed is loaded.

HOw do you figure? With no where near the towing capacity or power output. Not to mention it isn't a pickup, what with its unibody and front biased AWD and independent rear suspension, lol

So, with that logic, that would also mean that many of the 90's Land Rover's aren't capable off roaders, no?

Just busting chops

By all means, I love my Ridgeline. Its a great in-city pick-up, but by all means it's not a heavy duty work horse and it wasn't designed to be. It works great as a light duty tow rig/track support vehicle (I use it to tow the RSX to the so-cal race tracks), shop hauler, daily driver vehicle. Could it use more power? Sure, but then you start compromising the longevity of the drivetrain (there's a freaking reason why CT-E didn't release the supercharger. They kept blowing trannies).

Now, if I needed something to tackle more then that, there where my F350 dually comes in. Hook up the goose neck and go cross country.
