most of the fools in here will tell you that the lude will win the fact is that stock vs stock, its pretty much a driver race ive seen stock 5th gen run mid to some what low 15's same thing goes for the gsr so..........
Still, stock for stock, with equal drivers a Prelude will outrun a GSR. A Prelude won't beat it by alot, but it will still beat it, whether stoplight drag racing or highway driving.
gsr has more force induction potential but look out there, everyone has a teg or civic. do you see as many ludes ?
stock for stock the prelude will win
it seems easier to get a fast integra than an prelude. prelude weighs a lot. i wouldnt mind having an integra, but i like the lude better.
oh yea, i think the base prelude compared to the sh is faster, if thats what youre looking for. the sh weighs more than the auto base and about 100lbs heavier than stick base. also it seems the atts sucks some of the power away from the wheels. ive seen dynos of stock base compared to the sh.

the b18c has much more potential...
i wish all GSR's would come with a B18C engine...I would buy it in a heart beat....and it is not that hard to get power out of the H22A....all the pros use it in their Civic hatches and CRX to run 8-9 seconds...
to me a GSR motor is gutless, no torque and the Vtec crossover point is like a cry from a baby....and ofcourse this is my biased opinion since i own a Lude...and will be subjected to all flames...but i'll hold my ground.....
Be ready to spend a lil more for the lude if you will get it, it weighs around 200 lbs more but is more luxurious than that of an Integra.....insurance will cost more, but trust me...if you get an integra, you're looking at every other car on the road today....

Just think about it this way. If you buy a GSR, you'll have ugly side moldings on your car, unless you shave them. Buy a Lude, and nothing but clean body lines

lablue, who the hell do you think you are?
I've reading posts on this board for a while, I don't see why you feel compelled to cut down on everyone .
your little fued with turbonoslude was entertaining to say the least.

If driving all stock then get a prelude 5th Gen which is obviously more rich looking, But if doing a serious project then get a Teg in my opinion, since a 5th Gen Prelude is not an ideal platform to work on at all.
Yeah man i hate the fact that prelude weighs so much....but after you've taken out all the things that weigh your car down it's not much a of a car anymore....things get loud, missing a piece here and there.....
I agree, if you see yourself going all out with speed, get the Integra and turbo it...LS are more friendly to turbo than GSR....but if you like the N/A route with decent speed...you can buil up your H22 and impress everyone..

i wish peopld would just just answer the freakin question. i don't recall ever reading anything about whether teh base is faster than an SH or not. just a thought you know?
in a highway race, the lude's gonna pull. more power, more torque. but from the line, the gsr will get the jump, less weight. and the lude will slowly catch up at highway speeds. and eventually pull ahead. but yeah i agree, for modifying purposes, the gsr obviously has more potential. but i'd rather have a prelude than a gsr anyday.
