I've personally never heard of that before... Is it possible it was in gear and he broke a linkage and it's stuck there now? When it's in neutral will the car roll? If not, it might be in gear even though the stick is in Neutral.

Also just so the rest of the guys have more info, are you able to put it in gear and drive it normally/does this just happen in Neutral? Has this happened more than once? Any weird pedal feel or noises?

That's all I can really think of... Sorry I can't be more of a help. I've had trans problems in the past but nothing like that. Good luck though!

~Peace

I got the same problem after I installed my new Exedy stage 1 clutch & Fidanza 8lbs flywheel. I got tired of tearing it back apart, so I had it towed to one of my buddie's shop. He took it apart and found nothing. He re-installed everything and its been fine ever since. Maybe its cramped in there or something when I installed it but at least its fine now.

Also, another guy had the same problem and he found out that the spring on the clutch disc was broken, and thats why it wouldn't release the clutch even if he got the clutch pedal floored and still gear.
