Question Aftermarket vs OEM Replacement Compressor

Hello, it's been a long time since I've posted here. I am considering replacing the AC compressor on my 95 Prelude SE and was questioning whether to buy an aftermarket. I am purchasing brand new equip. The problem is that I want it to last more than 'Four Seasons'

Current issue is my compressor works, but is leaking freon. I can get the O-rings changed, which would probably resolve the issue..........but it will be close to $300.

So, I have been considering changing the compressor out. It is original.

But is it really worth spending almost double the price for OEM grade? If the quality is nearly the same with the aftermarket, I don't see the reason. Will it also last 18 years? If it is inferior, then I would rather pay more. In SE FL, AC is a necessity almost every day of the year.

If it really pays to go with the OEM, then maybe I should just get the O-rings changed out, throw on new belt, accumulator, and stick with my almost 19 year old compressor? Reason being, I will be paying somebody for labor. It actually works very well until the freon leaks out after about 1 week and a half of steady use. The problem has been sniffed out to the compressor. It seems to have an issue with turning off for about 1 sec and turning back on. It has done that as long as I can remember, but just started leaking a month ago. Until then, the car has had the original freon from Honda when the car was brand spanking new. I cannot even remember if it did not ever do that turning off for a sec issue. I am not sure if that is normal. But when it turns back on after being off for a sec, it seems to be gushing out a tiny bit of freon every time.
